Sheetal - 8 years old

An interview with her mother:
Sheetal is the daughter of Kamlesh; a widow whose husband died eight years ago of cancer while Sheetal was a six months old baby. She has an elder brother who is studying in class 7 th in a local Govt. school. With limited earnings Kamlesh was struggling to pay Rs. 200/month as fees for Sheetal's education. Therefore, she was overjoyed to learn that a new school was starting in Rajugella, which will provide scholarship to poor/orphan children. She is very happy with the new school and so is Sheetal as there is no beating in this school and the teachers are affectionate. She is thrilled to have come in first in one of the races on the school Sports Day recently. She use to cry and skip school often as the teachers used to beat the children a lot. Kamlesh hopes Sheetal will go for higher education and one day become a Doctor. She is determined to support her in completing her education.
