Donate

Your donations are used to finance on-going operations of the Education Center located in Rajugella village, Mathura (UP) including compensation of the ISF Principal, training and daily meals prepared by the women’s committee.

Here are some highlights of how donated funds are used:

  • The annual operating budget is prepared by the ISF Principal through a consultative process with the ISF village representative, review by executives and approved by the ISF Board of Directors
  • An independent firm is hired by the board of directors to support the establishment of financial reporting system on the ground and report on the quality and authenticity of financial records
  • An initiative is currently on the way to establish a Social Return On Investment (SROI) model to assess the social impact we have on the community at large over time
  • An initiative is currently on the way to establish a balanced scorecard with metrics used by the executives and the board of directors to evaluate performance on a regular basis.


Visit the ISF education center and meet villagers

  • With large donations, the ISF can help you organize a visit to the village and customize an experience based on your specific needs. This may include involvement in the school program, developing special programs, building the library, community development activities, etc.


Strengthen the capacity of our main partner RV

  • Our local partner is currently seeking funds to increase the capacity of its training facilities. The government of India and private schools are increasingly interested in sending their principals and teachers to learn the specificities of RIVER’s methodologies. They also have developed a tele-educational program to reach the most remote areas of India but need additional financial support to ensure implementation and expansion.


Targeted donations:

While we welcome unresticted donations, here is a short list of targets you may request your donation to go towards:

  • Support the education of one student for a full year ($100)
  • Support the education of one student for one month ($10)
  • Support the operations of a whole classroom for one month ($400)
  • Support the operations of a whole classroom for a full year ($4,000)
